The Magic of Ten: Giving Back by Phoenix Coaches

Phoenix, AZ – The International Coach Federation (ICF), an organization of 22,000 coaches worldwide celebrates Professional Coaching Awareness Week on May 20-26, 2013. The ICF Phoenix Chapter has stepped it up several notches by celebrating Coaching Month with a month’s worth of activities. One of its activities: A Taste of Coaching pairs professionally trained ICF coaches with the staff and leadership team of two not-for-profits in the Valley of the Sun. Karen Ramsey, President of Lead for Good, led the volunteer coaches in a webinar that highlighted the differences between for-profit and non-profit organizations. Connie Leach, VP of Programs for the Chapter matched the 10 volunteer coaches with the participants that signed up for coaching.

The coaches will provide “a taste of coaching”, the equivalent of three hours of pro-bono coaching. This coaching is designed to help the participants reach their personal or professional goals.

“It’s a chance to give back to the Phoenix community for the support it’s given our coaches and an opportunity for the community to become more aware of our services as coaches,” says 2013 President, Sylva Leduc. "Being coached by a highly trained coach opens up new possibilities to be courageous and creative,” adds Connie Leach.

And, that’s the MAGIC OF TEN!
