What values drive your work and life? What becomes possible if you bring more of your values into your work and life? How competent do you feel in supporting your clients to identify their core values? Come learn some new techniques for supporting clients to identify and live from their core values. We will hear from Brian Stinson, culture engineer and author of The PEAK Values cards, and Alison Smith, PCC about utilizing values-driven coaching conversations to unlock insights for individual, team, and organizational clients!

Participants will learn:
  • The difference between strengths and values as well as ‘core’ versus ‘aspirational’ values
  • How personal core values influence our actions and what causes values to change over time.
  • How transparency of core values leads to higher levels of interpersonal connection, improved communication, and healthy conflict in teams.
  • Increased acumen about how purpose and values form the foundation of organizational culture and the impact of alignment vs. misalignment of values on employees.
  • Understand methods for using values clarification exercises and resources to support increased client awareness and insight.

During this workshop, participants will complete a facilitated card sort exercise that results in the identification of their top 6 personal core values (and 2-3 ‘least important’ values). Next, we will practice being vulnerable with each other by sharing and discussing the results. Finally, each participant will be asked to identify 2-3 relationships (friends, family members, colleagues, etc.) that will benefit from discussing core values and make commitments for having these crucial conversations.
