Uncover the beauty and power of metaphors in your coaching conversations through this engaging webinar. Metaphors are deeply woven into the fabric of our daily conversations, often ignored if not clearly obvious. Explore how visual language impacts your clients.

Renowned scholar John Geary famously said, "We instinctively resort to metaphors when describing anything abstract: ideas, feelings, thoughts, emotions, concepts." Dive into the neuroscience of metaphors and comprehend how they illuminate our minds. Metaphors not only enhance our self-expression but also serve as potent tools for instigating outcomes, elucidating complexities, and fostering profound transformations.

Humans don't use metaphors accidentally. Metaphors introduced by your clients can serve as powerful keys, unlocking their self-awareness and inner potential. By mastering the art of using our clients' metaphors rather than interjecting your own, you can facilitate more meaningful and impactful conversations.

Metaphors provide vivid insights into your clients' identities, deeply ingrained beliefs, self-perceptions, and aspirations. Understanding and utilizing these metaphorical expressions can offer a robust tool for fostering curiosity and facilitating deeper understanding. The course also includes a pre-recorded coaching demo to assess and augment your understanding of metaphors.

Join us on a journey into the power of metaphors today!

What you will learn:
  • Neuroscience + Metaphors. How metaphors impact our neural wiring and how to pay attention to the embodied metaphor as a tool.
  • The need for Embodied Learning for Sustainable changes.
  • The power of using metaphors in coaching conversation to create greater awareness, anchor insights, as well as using them to create agreements and move from topic to success measures.
  • How metaphors weave through the ICF Core Competencies.
