- Have we integrated fully within ourselves or do we marginalize our bodies, heart, and emotions?
- Have we learned to cultivate personal qualities that enable us to connect, inspire, and engage those we work with?
- Do we have the KNOW- HOW to call others FORTH, helping them to discover their greatness?
- Emotional and social intelligence are key, but have we overlooked our SOMATIC INTELLIGENCE?
Join ICF Arizona’s Professional Development Chair, Carrie-Ann Tkaczyk (PCC), and Dr. Kathy Norwood (MCC) in this immersive two day in-person workshop held in nearby Henderson NV. ICF Arizona chapter members receive 10% and our chapter, ICF Arizona, will also receive 10%.
Over these two days we will delve into evidence-based approaches supported by the latest research, encompassing neurosciences, coherence, somatic practices, intuition, and mindfulness practices. These topics are integral to fostering profound growth and transformation, aligning with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Core Competencies: Coaching Mindset, Active Listening, and Evoking Awareness.
This Embodied Coach and Leadership workshop will particularly focus on aspects of somatic and mindfulness-based coaching, providing tools and techniques to facilitate deep emotional shifts within ourselves and our clients. Such shifts enable us to tap into our inner wisdom, resulting in swift and effortless action steps that enhance performance and well-being.
Day One: Empowerment Through Embodiment
- Gain a greater understanding of YOU as SOMA to better live in the fullness of SELF;
- Discover and explore the biological communication between the heart, the brain, and the rest of the body and how we energetically feed the field;
- Learn how depleting and renewing emotions are shown to have different physiological effects which directly affect brain function and impact on our decision-making, communication, and stress levels;
- Aim to empower clients by helping them tap into the wisdom of their bodies, fostering self-awareness and self-regulation;
- Experience somatic practices to create somatic openings and heart coherent intelligence techniques to help recharge your mental/emotional system—breathwork coupled with regenerative emotions;
- Practice coaching and/or receive coaching
Day 2: Participants will participate in two workshop settings.
Part 1: A Mindful Path Toward Authenticity in the Workplace (ICF Core Competencies 2, 4, 6, 7)
In this interactive workshop, certified mindfulness teacher, coach, and wellness practitioner, Carrie-Ann, will guide participants through a series of activities to help you develop greater insight and confidence in your ability to manage and engage with challenging emotions. Together we will learn strategies to see and eventually walk around what Portia Nelson in her poem, “Autobiography in Five Short Chapters,” calls the metaphorical “hole in their sidewalk.”
Participants will experience:
- Greater understanding of “emotional wellness” as defined by the National Wellness Institute;
- Creating a “mindful pause” to center emotions and thoughts of themselves and others;
- Identifying moments and strategies to invoke greater insight and wellbeing in order to make decisions from this place;
- Creating a “window of tolerance” to help manage emotions;
- A deep listening experience of self and others.
Part 2: Intuition: Accessing Your Inner Sherpa
Dr. Norwood will teach current research on Intuition/Heart Intelligence and will highlight parallels to Sherpas and their incredible role in helping climbers navigate their paths, stay safe, and scale the heights of their aspirations. Several approaches will be introduced and practiced.
Participants will:
- Explore 3 types of intuition;
- Discover practical intuition and how we can access our Inner Sherpa (wisdom) to unfold creative solutions;
- Experience how the BODY knows and communicates in creative ways;
- Appreciate the power of the heart as we learn to access heart intelligence within ourselves and help clients access theirs.
